Established in
1987, ARTIST, Inc started as a non-stock, non-government institution
which aims to popularize and develop people’s
art and literature from the Southern Tagalog region. Through education,
researches and productions, these pursuit us more challenges, so that our
humble organization is now
...
a collective realization that the creative process should be an integral
part of the community life;
...
a synthesis of experiences in helping communities unlock and hone their
potential creative power in the arts;
...
a juncture of programs that provide opportunities for communities to make
use of their own creative tools in defining and promoting a desirable
community life;
...
a workplace where artists and audience produce and refine works that are
reflective of collective realities and aspirations;
...
a conduit for establishing dynamic ties between artists and communities.
